REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEMS FOR SMALL BUSINESS AND HOME
The Three Stage Reverse Osmosis System "M3" (Merlin Reverse Osmosis System from GE Infrastructure Water and Process Technologies) includes three basic steps of filtration.
First, the tap water goes through a special hybrid filter. The filter made from activated carbon and has a nominal rating of 1 micron. This filter removes sediments, particles, rust and active chlorine from tap water.
Then, the water passes through a high rejection (95-99%) thin film composite RO Membrane is used to reject a wide spectrum of impurities including Total Dissolve Solids (TDS), bacteria and viruses down to 0.0001 micron. The membrane has a high flow rate (up to 0.5 gpm). In this case it is not necessary to have a storage tank to collect same water. It makes the system more compact then economy series systems!
An in-line GAC filter is used to remove dissolved gases, bad taste and odor from the filtered water. This is the polishing stage before consumption.
The UV disinfection system and leak controller could be added to the system.

The Five Stage Reverse Osmosis System (RO-5) includes five basic steps of filtration.
First, the tap water goes through a sediment filter with a nominal rating of 5 microns. Particles, sediments, rust, and colloids with a diameter over 5 microns cannot pass through the filter. Then, the water passes through GAC and Carbon/Fiber Block Filters. These filters remove heavy chlorine and chlorine byproducts such as chloramines, THM and TCE, heavy metals, and organic contaminates. The carbon block prepares water to enter the reverse osmosis element.
A high rejection (95-99%) thin film composite (TFC) RO Membrane is used to reject a wide spectrum of impurities including Total Dissolve Solids (TDS), bacteria and viruses down to 0.0001 micron.
As a special option we can remove the reverse osmosis membrane and install a special nano- filtration membrane. 
A high flow nano- filtration (NF) membrane reduces the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), removes organic contaminates, pesticides, herbicides, cysts, bacteria and viruses, heavy metals, and reduces the arsenic level. The nano- filtration membrane keeps healthy elements in the water such as calcium and magnesium (up to 60%) and potassium (up to 90%).
The filtered water is stored in a tank, while the waste water is automatically flushed down the drain.
